Sometimes too much of a good thing leads to egotism, narcissism, and the kind of greed that leads to things like the economic meltdown of 2008. It begs the question why some of those so-called “captains of the universe” aren’t in jail. Likewise, I appreciate that no one I know wants to be part of the flock of any public government, or a free loader for that matter. What’s needed is character development among all Americans that sees caring citizenship as the foundation for democracy versus corporatocracy. Caring citizens are the solution. PROGRESSIVISM: Control of all aspects of a person’s life by elitists in government
STRONGER AMERICA: Low government debt
STRONGER MILITARY: Necessary to protect the country from enemies foreign and domestic
BROAD PROSPERITY: Every person EQUAL under law
FREE MARKETS: All have a chance, outcome is not guaranteed
BETTER FUTURE: Freedom expands with less government and taxes.
LOWER TAXES: More money stays with the producers and less goes to parasites.
EFFECTIVE GOVERNMENT: No such thing
LESS GOVERNMENT: Ideal
MUTUAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Self-immolation
FAMILY VALUES: They are being intentionally destroyed by the Progressives

The real question to ask: Is the current moral world view limiting my success by forcing me to pay increasing taxes to a government $15 trillion dollars in debt, to support the 50% who don’t pay any taxes?

It is naive to believe the government as “altruistic” and “reflecting compassion etc.” It is interesting about how liberals scream about the separation of church and state but want their Christian morals throughout our government. Dean, Christianity starts with the individual. If that individual carries his values to his office, there you have your altruism. Are you ready to back that up with a vote? Should a pro-life candidate who is voted into office work to repeal Roe v. Wade? That person believes he or she is being altruistic…would you stand with that candidate? Where do you draw the line?
No-you cannot shape government with your definition of altruism.
